Students who had the study guides appeared to read the signage
and spend more time interacting with the exhibits.
Rather than complaining about the assignment,
they seemed to view it as a game or challenge
to complete. I could not tell who was the teacher
for this group, so I don't know if there was another
motivator for these kids. I asked a couple of
museum aids if this was typical and they noted
that the guides definitely seemed to help the
students focus and enjoy the exhibit more thoroughly. |
